Knulliana Cincta

Knulliana Cincta- The Banded Hickory Borer. A relatively common beetle in Carolina springs. I tend to find them either by lights at night or on porches in between the vinyl wall pieces in the early morning. They are quite amazing longhorn beetles with a body length sometimes surpassing AN INCH! Their antennae can sometimes be more then TWICE that though, a quite impressive length.

Here are 3 of them in my collection:

WHAT TO EXPECT!

O.K. so I'm going to FLORIDA on the 28th of this month for an ENTIRE WEEK! So be expecting lots of posts on this blog, as I will be searching all over Polk County with my cousin to find insects. I will keep you posted throughout the week. I will probably not have many mosts in between now and then unless I find something VERY cool though.
