The Butterfly Pavilion At The Smithsonian

So I went on vacation to MD and also visited DC to see The Smithsonian. There was a butterfly pavilion there and I got free tickets. It was pretty fun! 

An Ordinary Day (In the woods)

 I love the woods. I go to them as often as I can and look for all sorts of arthropods (insects, spiders, millipedes, centipedes, etc.). The most common ones we get are Sigmoria millipedes and Bess Beetles, I'd have to say.  Here are some photos from today's collecting trip to the woods behind my house (I also have some beyond the construction site I like to visit):

Mantids

I love keeping mantids as pets. They are just so cool. The fact that we get many mantids in SC helps.
